Chinese Kale Kailaan is an interesting plant, a quick grower and will reward you with deliciously tender stems and leaves, buds and flowers. Can be stir fried with garlic, oyster or soy sauce and a pinch of sugar, add the leaves and flowers for the last couple of minutes of cooking - scrumptious!
These plants all need a sunny site with deep, firm, moisture retentive soil. Space each plant 30cm (12 inches) apart. Chinese Kale will happily grow in good sized containers (at least 30cm dia.) or raised planters.
