This frost-busting fleece jacket simply slips over your pot to give the plant protection right down to a positively arctic -8°C and the incredibly tough 100gsm fleece also allows air and light to penetrate, creating a protective micro climate inside.

I wish I had had these at the beginning of winter, as they look to be just the job for my lemon trees. I was about to spend £200+ on another product when I saw these and saved myself a lot of money. Will report back next winter when they have had a proper trial. Maybe some sort of collapsible interior frame would be useful to aid insertion of sizeable plants???? Very pleased so far--and with my discovery of Harrods! Will use again-interesting solutions and feasible pricing. PM
Our horticulturist says; "If you can't move non-hardy potted and container grown plants inside for the winter then a fleece cover or jacket is the next best thing. Try to find a fleece jacket with a zip as this makes covering up the plant quick and easy and it's advisable to remove any fleece or other protective material from the plant periodically throughout the winter as this will help to prevent a build up of humidity, which of course can encourage rots and other diseases to develop.
It’s also important to keep your plants moist throughout the winter to prevent the root ball from drying out – but moist is as wet as they should be allowed to get. If the plants do suffer some frost damage (leaf tips turn brown and wither) then some remedial spring pruning usually solves the problem and they should soon recover.
Keeping the pot protected is often overlooked but although plants can recover from the odd frost damaged leaf, frozen roots usually spells the end! Wrap pots in bubble insulation or go for an all-in-one plant jacket which also covers the pot."
