Product Reviews
Reasonably easy to put together but it does need two people. The cups don't fit very snugly and knock out easily until the soil is in. The plants in the cups dry out even if the watering tube is used so I'm not sure overwatering will be a problem. Also doesn't feel very sturdy, though it does look good with the plants in place. A bit disappointing but hopefully will win me over when I get strawberries before the slugs and birds!
The strawberry tower doesn't seem robust enough and the little nests always tend to fall out. It gets a bit better when the tower is filled with compost and the plants are in. Generally the design is good, everything is well thought through. The plastic for the walls is bent to shape and doesn't seem very thick, but hopefully will offer enough protection for winter. Bought it recently, can't comment on performance yet.
Delivery was very quick. Tower none too easy to put together but I managed it, it took about 30 minutes. I was very suprised at how flimsy and cheap it looked for the price. I have filled it with plants, which seem to be doing OK. Have found another site where it is only £16, that in more like the price that this tower is worth.

'Roots in the past, fruits for the future' by Elspeth Thompson
Interspersing the plants with edible flowers such as violas will look even prettier and provide the decoration for stylish fruit salads. If more crops are required, think about a Strawberry Tower that holds at least 32 strawberry plants, features a central watering tube.

Certain purpose-made containers may given even better results for some crops. For example, a ‘Potato Barrel’ is just 33cm in diameter but has an 80 litre capacity, which is enough to provide a generous crop of potatoes. As well as potato barrels, spud tubs and strawberry towers, grow-bags are also popular particularly when used in conjunction with purpose made re-usable grow pots which help to water and feed as well as providing additional compost.
