The Bee Mat is a ready seeded mat which contains a selection of mixed flowers specially selected to provide nectar and pollen for bees.
Our bees are in serious decline, we have lost over 50% of our bees through disease, loss of habitat and intensive farming, and with lots of our crops being pollinated it has become a big problem.
The Bee Mat offers a small way that we can help. The bee mat is ready seeded with a selection of flowers which will attract bees. Simply choose a suitable area to place the seed mat, cover with a thin layer of compost or topsoil and regularly water to encourage the seeds to germinate. The seed mat will also help control weeds and is biodegradable.

Planted this to fill an empty patch in the garden border. Really easy to plant - just laid out, covered with a little soil and watered in. A few weeks on and it looks great like a little wildflower garden and it's attracting loads of bees - the other day counted about 30 buzzing about!! Everyone should plant one of these in a spare patch to encourage the declining bee population!
