The Bumblebee Tree Lodge is designed to be mounted on trees and is ideal for public gardens or parks where pollination is needed to be improved
The Bumblebee Tree Lodge has a traditional design, made from FSC timber featuring an apex waterproof hinged roof for easy access and viewing. The lodge features 2 entry holes and also has a cover to prevent wax moths - natural predator of the bumblebee - from invading the hive. The bracket has been designed so that the lodge can be easily mounted on a tree trunk or suitable post to raise the lodge off the ground for safety and security, making it ideal for use in parks and public gardens.
The Bumblebee Tree Lodge can be bought with the Beepol Bumblebee Hive so that the hive can be set up straight away, or the Tree Lodge can be supplied with a voucher for the Bumblebee Hive which can then be despatched at a later date - the voucher option is ideal if buying as a gift.
Please Note: The live bumblebee hives will be despatched from April 2016. However the Bumblebee Lodge can be ordered with a Hive Voucher to be claimed at a later date.

- Bees will die out in autumn but the beepol colony will produce new queens, which will leave the hive and set up new nest sites
- Please note the hives will be despatched when temperatures are suitable, this is usually between April & August.

- Bumblebee Hive Voucher can also be purchased with a Bumblebee Lodge or separately for the Bumblebee Hive to be despatched at a later date - also ideal if buying as a gift.
Bumblebee Lodge Cleaner 500ml:-

- The live bee hives are despatched when temperatures are suitable, this is usually between April & August.
- Instructions to help you have a successful hive are sent with the live bee hives.
- The Lodge should be sited in a semi-shaded area near the source of any pollen bearing plants.
- The holes in the lodge with mesh are vent holes.
- The plastic flap is designed to stop wax moths entering the lodge . This works like a cat flap and the bees will work out how to use this, even if it takes several hours, they do eventually manage to work it out!
- Wax moth adults are not able to enter the hive with the wax moth door in place, protecting the hive.
