The Build-a-Ball Aluminium Vegetable Cage Kits with Fitted Covers save valuable gardening time and effort when protecting your home grown vegetable crops; not only is the Build-a-Ball and aluminium tubing framework easy and quick to assemble, but our exclusive Fitted Covers mean no more wrestling with ungainly sections of netting!
Create the 1.2m high vegetable cage by simply slotting the long lasting 16mm diameter aluminium tubing uprights and 12.7mm diameter top rods into the durable build-a-ball connectors before easing a soft knitted 7mm mesh butterfly netting cover or an ultra fine 0.25mm x 0.8mm insect-mesh cover over the top, pegging it securely in the soil (pegs not supplied but our ground pegs fit the bill perfectly!). These covers are a perfect fit - a real time saver for accessing or closing up the plot and they look incredibly neat too. The butterfly net cover is complete with stitched seams, making it easy to pull on and off the frame as one piece; alternatively the fine insect-mesh cover features tailored velcro seams for direct access to plants, without needing to remove the cover from the frame, and also has a custom-made hem with reinforced eyelets to accept ground pegs without making holes in the material.
The Aluminium Vegetable Cage Kits with Fitted Covers are available in three sizes - there's also an Insect Mesh Cover Corner Raised Bed option so whatever your shape, there's no excuse for not covering up - and have been designed to fit inside our Timber Raised Beds; you'l find the bed sizes listed below but there's no reason why the vegetable cage kits and fitted covers can't be used in open ground too - you'll find the actual framework and cover sizes below as well!
Flexibility in the garden is key and that's why we've made the Build-a-Ball Aluminium Vegetable Cages with Fitted Covers available separately as well as in kit form; purchase the framework and covers on their own or go for the kit options and save up to £7!

Product Reviews
After the Cabbage White caterpillars descended en masse on our broccoli and brussel sprouts last year, we decided to 'bite the bullet' and purchase this after a recommendation from a friend who already had it. It's a phenomenal bit of kit. It's sturdy and ridiculously easy to assemble. It will make growing the brassicas more pleasurable from now on as I'll not be inundated with the dreaded cabbage white caterpillar!
A very good addition to the raised beds
