This is a good tool as others have said very sharp and I sharpen all mine even more so be careful. Obviously 'lastability' is yet to be determined hence the 4 stars and as everything it seems these days has a chinese stamp onb the bade section despite being Burgon & Ball of Sheffield (previously a renowned UK Steel City)
The product historically is known as the Japanese razor hoe and the markings are authentic logographic symbols from the Japanese language not Chinese (although similar) – sometimes these are worn off in the grinding procedure and therefore don’t appear on certain tools.
Burgon and Ball have not changed the components or the manufacturing process and the 10 year guarantee offers reassurance of the confidence we have their tool range.
Expensive, but worth every penny. This is the one tool that I take out every time that I garden. It is so easy and efficient to use as long as it is kept razor sharp which is not difficult to do. I would recommend it to everyone.
I absolutely love this small hand hoe. It's fantastic for fiddly areas between established plants, for those tricky bits near brick edges etc. I use it all the time and have told all my gardening friends and colleagues about it. I wish I'd discovered it years ago. This is my Desert Island Disc tool!
