There are two key factors to remember when locating and installing the Green Cone food composter, it needs a bright sunny spot and one that drains well. This ensures a consistently high volume of food waste digestion for the natural absorption of its water residue into your garden.
If you have a naturally damp garden you can create additional drainage by placing gravel, stones and broken pots underneath the installed unit.
The innovative digestive system recycles your waste and pumps it back into the soil. Over time the cone will build up some organic matter inside which you can simply dig back into your veg plot (approx. once a year) to further enrich your soil.
You can compost up to one kilo of kitchen waste per day in a well-positioned and fully working Green Cone Waste Digester. As long as the unit has a healthy population of bacteria and a consistent ambient temperature, it can dispose of the food waste created by an average family of four per day!
