The Harrod Tree Guards have been developed following numerous customer requests, the perfect addition to landscapes and suitable for young trees or can be easily 'retro-fitted' to more established trees.
These substantial tree guards have been designed based on the most requested sizes, but other sizes are available using our Made to Measure Service.
Each tree guard is made of 2 halves that are securely bolted together around the tree with chemically blackened stainless steel fixings. The uprights are made using 25mm x 6mm thick steel bar with the tree guard bands made using 25mm x 3mm thick steel. The top rings use 16mm diameter steel rod.
Available in 2 finishes - Natural Rust - supplied as untreated steel which develops an even rust patina over time and Matt Black - high temperature powder coated for a long lasting weatherproof finish.
There are 2 standard sizes available - 1.1m high which is an above ground version, secured in place using fixing pins (available separately) and a 1.8m high version which is designed to be pushed 30cm into the ground (overall height is 2.1m). Both size tree guards main columns measure 0.77m diameter flaring out to 1.27m diameter at the top of the tree guard.
