Brilliant at digging neat measured depth holes for bulbs, but then so unwieldy trying to tip out the plug of earth, turning the large implement upside down and banging out the plug with great difficulty. Surely it could be designed to empty easily - straight, rather than angled cutting section would make it easy to push the earth out through the bottom. Very disappointed - especially in view of the price and it's such a nice sturdy tool.
Many thanks for your product review. However, Bulb planters are designed so that the clod of earth will eject easily when you use them to make the next planting hole.
