Lollo Biondi is one of the prettiest lime-green varieties of multi leaf lettuces and the shiny-green sister of Lollo Rosso. This variety has extremely frizzy, crinkled and compact leaves and is wonderful picked fresh for summer salads.
Lettuces and leaves are really very low-maintenance, so you can’t go too wrong. As a general rule try to give them about 15cm of space. Keep the weeds down to give them the best chance and water well, particularly during dry spells.
You can start harvesting as soon as you’re happy with the size of them. Cut leaves carefully from the stem and they will keep producing more.
