PRIMULA veris commonly known as Cowslip, Herb Peter and Palsywort is a a semi-evergreen perennial to 25cm, with a rosette of distinctly stalked, oblong-ovate leaves and upright stems bearing bell-shaped, fragrant rich yellow flowers.

Evergreen perennial with sometimes scalloped, leaves to 20cm (8in) long producing umbels of 2-16 salverform, nodding, flowers 1.5-2.5cm (½-1in) across.
Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
