The Pumpkin Hundredweight can produces large oval/round fruit which have a beautiful deep orange flesh perfect for making soups or pumpkin pie.
Supplied as 3 healthy organic pumpkin plants, this variety can produce fruits up to 25kg. To grow these enormous pumpkins you need to allow approx. 2m between plants and thin out other fruits as they form. This will allow your larger fruits to gain all the nutrients and water it needs to grow to super size.

Growing Advice
Pumpkins like to be in full sun with plenty of space. Pumpkins are hungry plants so make sure you dig in planty of organic fertiliser when you plant them.
Pumpkins grow well outside so if you have the space go for a raised bed or similar and plant them approx. 2 metres apart. Plant them outside after the risk of frost has passed, until then keep them in post undercover.
Make sure you water the plants regularly and thoroughly to encourage the fruit to swell. Keep an eye out for powdery mildew on the leaves.
You can easily tell when your pumpkins are ready to be harvested by their size and colour. Allow them to ripen on the plant for a few days before picking, but make sure you harvest them before any frosts. When harvesting make sure you cut off the stem as close to the vegetable as possible.
