Product Reviews
Reasonable price and fast delivery from Harrod. Fairly straightforward to assemble on my own and does the job. Like some others, used Postcrete to keep the uprights securely positioned. Improvements that would probably have cost the manufacturer less then £5 and would have made this a 5-star product: (1) Make the topbar length adjustable - it was awkwardly long for my plot, and cutting it down was outside my comfort zone. A telescopic top bar would make this a much more versatile product. (2) Supply the string properly wound around a comb. It took at least an hour to untangle. (3) Supply foam end caps for the cross bars for safety
Many thanks for your feedback. Your comments and suggestions, these have been passed onto our R & D Dept. for further review.
The frame is OK but very sharp edges so be careful - I put tape around them. The string that comes with the frame is very thin and difficult to see and ties itself into incredible knots that took an hour to untangle. Best use wire or good garden twine that you can see. Eventually it will be good but with modifications that could have come with the package originally.
THanks for making us aware of the difficulties you had with the product. This is not something we have heard before so will investigate and get our design team to review your comments.
Certainly looks better than wooden posts. I ended up concreting the vertical posts in with postcrete as first one came loose whilst adjusting the second one, not much concrete required. I did also have to shorten the second horizontal rail, not too difficult using the offcut to redrill the holes at the end.
