After reading the glowing reviews of the weeder online I decided to use my Harrod gift voucher to buy one. The tool is really well made and the prongs are extremely sharp. I was surprised that they were only protected by some flimsy plastic caps which fell off immediately. My husband made me some protectors for storage using two corks. The weeder is very easy to use but not so good at getting up the entire root of weeds like dandelions and buttercups. I now use it to loosen the root before using my Sneerboer heart shaped trowel to complete the job. The trowel has to be my favourite tool of all time, brilliant in heavy clay soil.
All my Sneeboer tools are wonderful, but this was bought on a bit of a punt in the hope that it might be good for weeding out couch grass between other plants. And what a revelation it is. It has become my number one tool for all weeding tasks.
This 2 pronged fork from Holland is absolutely brilliant! It is so easy to use and better for weeding as the prongs are pointed and sharp, and will fit lift the most stubborn weed easily and without disturbing neighbouring plants. I have been looking for one for ages, and finally found this one.A must for a keen gardener, and my son was so impressed with mine that he had to order one too. Many thanks.
