This strong, metal cased soil thermometer is ideal for indoor or outdoor use, whether you are testing soil, the inner core of compost, mushrooms, heated seed beds or plant rearing.

To use: Insert thermometer to a minimum depth of 2 to 3cm in the soil
Check the temperature recorded after 2 minutes
Temperature range from -15°C to 110°C (5°F to 230°F)
Soil thermometer measures 22cm

This is the first soil thermometer I have used. It is very robust protected for careful use and well worth the money.

A sturdy implement; my only complaint being that you have to remove the soil thermometer from the ground to read it. I haven't had it long, so it is early days yet.
