I have a range of strawberry plants - some young/small, some older/large. These mats are only suitable for small plants. Larger plants need a much larger mat size with a much larger cut-out in the centre.
After all the rain we've had, the slugs have been having a wonderful time. These collars not only keep them at bay, but keep the strawberries clean too. I use them for lots of other plants as well. I like to keep a stock of the collars - and it would be useful if they came in a variety of sized - eg small, medium, large and extra large. As ever the Harrod Horticultural website is easy to use and their delivery prompt.
