Product Reviews
The concept is interesting - and hopefully may even provide good fruit - but the problems of setting it up possibly outweigh its advantages. Getting the compost the right dampness, getting the compost into the bag at all - getting the poor bedraggled tomato seedling's leaves through the tiny hole - all extremely difficult. Even more difficult was filling the bag up with compost, and getting the water bowl in with the absorbant strip of material still in place. And which side was the black side - they both looked identical once wet. But worst, on filling the bowl with water - the water flowed straight through the bag and onto the floor - not just the first time, but all the time. Amazingly the plant is growing, and lots of flowers are appearing - but the bowl is dry after an hour or so, so the concept of being able to leave the plant with adequate water for a few days seems to hold even less water than the bag.
I ordered two of these baskets, the first was fine, although not to the same quality as the one pictured above. The liner does not fill out as well as pictured. The second basked had different length chains and the liner was poorly made with the result it looks very peculiar hanging from the bracket. The one point i had not really figured is that with the constant irrigation provided from the reservoir it drips constantly on to the surface below.

Many thanks for your comments. We were sorry to hear that one of the planters did not meet your expectations and although the performance will not suffer, we will certainly ask our suppliers to address any quality issues. Hopefully, as the plants develop larger root systems and require more water, the amount lost will become less and less.
