Product Reviews
This is my go to choice for quality compost that is peat free. It is ideal for my clay soil which is either a sticky bog or like concrete, depending on the time of year.
I have used this for many years now - excellent results in terms of quality of veg and salads. The water retaining qualities of the mix is very good too - hardly any watering required and I can go away on holiday without worrying if all my veg will be wilted when I get home. The same good quality applies to the seed mix - very good results. More expensive than other products but worth it - only need to use one spreading for the whole growing season and no need to top up when replanting. Also all natural - no fillers!
How to Use
Fill raised beds and containers with Wool Compost for Vegetables and Salads, soak the compost well and then plant established plants and well grown seedlings directly into the compost.
For seedlings and plugs, dib a hole in to compost, place plug in hole, gently fill and water well.
Line potato and bean trenches with the compost before planting.
Can also be used to top dress established vegetable plots and raised beds.
