Summer has very nearly arrived and many of us already have been marvelling in this luscious weather in our outdoor space...
Upon our return to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year, we wanted to create a space to exhibit multiple uses of our Southwold Collection furniture. Whether this be basking in the sun on our Bistro Table Set enjoying a glass of wine with a loved one, or hosting a dinner party for friends and family whilst sheltering from the heat under our Southwold Traditional Pergola; we have something that will suit every patio space.
Place Settings
We also wanted to incorporate some summer trends for the garden this year with Decorative Tin Plates from Sarah Raven (ours were in the colour Pink Ground), Vintage Embossed Glasses and rich floral decorations by Too Many Flowers. All whilst giving a subtle nod to Pantones Colour of the Year 2022 – Very Peri!
Plus, what better way is there to embellish your table settings than with some plush decorative cushions? We used these Multi-Tone Watercolour Cushions drew in all of the colours of the flower arrangements, crockery and glassware. A pop of colour really complements the silvery antique patina of our Southwold Collection Garden Furniture. A throw or a blanket is another great way to incorporate some colour into your patio, we used the British Blanket Company's Dusky Pink and Pearl Herringbone Armchair Throw.
Planters
We were also thrilled to have Tom Hoblyn plant our wonderful Southwold Planters for the show, again tying in the colour theme from throughout the rest of the stand. The lupins and lavender added a brilliant height to the planters making them a real feature at the two front feet of the traditional pergola.
